We could not be more excited to share these photos with you from Rad Red Creative from Hannah + Shaun's wedding. Hannah had the opportunity to see our work first hand at a wedding we did this past Spring. We were happy she decided to trust us with her special day too and hired us for our full design package along with florals. They wanted a wedding that was simply beautiful and a reflection of them as a couple. One of the fun challenges I had designing this wedding, was Hannah's favorite flower is an Orchid. She wanted to use Orchids, but wanted to avoid a tropical feel. This was a challenge when searching for invite options within the budget. We were able to actually design the invites for her. I was so excited to see how they turned out. Another fun challenge was Hannah wanted to have a bouquet that she could keep afterwards, and really liked Sola wood flowers. We wanted the bouquet to resemble our loosely arranged style with movement to blend it with the rest of the real florals. We used Sola wood flowers, fake succulents and preserved greenery with just a few stems of fresh eucalyptus. It was so special to have the opportunity to work with this sweet couple!

If you ever wondered if vintage furniture, farm tables and vintage dishware could fit in a ballroom resort style venue setting, this project shows it can. We provided the lounge, lots of decor, a farm table head table, vintage dishware, and other special details. I personally loved the thick velvet burgundy runner on the head table.

When you hear "Vintage Wedding" what visions start to dance in your head? According to Pinterest, that might be an abundance of burlap, suitcases, babies breath, books, wood slices and doilies. Some may see rich stained antique furniture, typewriters, antique cars and sepia photos. We each picture "vintage" in our own way, and there is really no right or wrong way to see it. ALTHOUGH, I'm sorry ladies burlap and lace do not make a vintage wedding. I have heard it may times "We are having a vintage wedding", my reply "ohhhh how perfect, what style of vintage are you going for? Tell me more." client replies "you know like.....hay, burlap, lace, roses....." (Thanks pinterest! Not vintage).
Since our name is "Ever After Vintage Weddings" I thought I would share with you what our vision of "vintage" would be. When we hear "vintage" we think quality, traditions, sayings like "they just don't make things like they use to". We dream of soft textures like satin ribbons around the waist and in the hair. Not like fake shiny "satin" today, but rich soft textures with the perfect subtle sheen. We picture flowing silk dresses and detailed lace fabric. Creamy colors of aged paper, and stunning calligraphy that was common and visable in every letter. Like sitting for tea with friends in a European rose garden surrounded by silver pieces you can't help but admire. The sparkle of cut crystal, and the shine of brass. This is vintage to us. A timeless vision of family heritage, friendly charm, and romance.
When coming up with the design for this project. This is where I pulled my inspiration from. We took our vision of vintage, and mixed it with a touch of modern. With such an amazing team of vendors, it's no surprise I am so in love with how everything turned out. Thank you so very much to everyone who helped bring this shoot to life! Special thanks to my dear friend Jennifer who helped me all day putting everything together, and to Emily for having the most amazing eye for detail. I am spoiled with Emily's passion for what she does. We simply love working with The Ganeys!!
