Special thanks to our models Ryan and Josh, our little mouse king (A.K.A my sons Gerbil Samsung), and Lucy who was a fantastic help!
About a year ago I started to dream up a Nutcracker concept. Unlike the typical colorful sugar plums dancing in our heads, I pictured The Land of Snow where The Nutcracker turns into a Prince and takes Clara on a journey in to an enchanted forest where they are welcomed by dancing snowflakes. While dancing snowflakes are hard to find here in Florida, I figured with a little imagination I could bring my dream to life. I sat down and thought of a few elements I had to have and then went to work. A piecey looking blush skirt was VERY important to me. My good friend Jennifer did an amazing job with that! I pictured all the paper items simple and beautiful. Bonnie with Archer and Olive went above and beyond making that happen. To tie in a little more whimsy, Alex our makeup artist did an amazing job giving our model a bit of a doll look! We also just had to have our little Mouse King that was so patient and kind to us through the shoot. You gotta admit he's kinda adorable! I imagined a dark cloudy day with a forest lined with pines. I was thrilled we stumbled upon just the place with some help from a friend. Thanks Sarah! While the day ended up being extremely HOT, when I look back at the photos I feel magic and a chill in the air. Everything came together so nicely, and I could not be more happy! We had an amazing team of creatives that went above and beyond to pull everything together! Thanks so much to everyone who was apart of this special day!!
