I love what I do! It can be challenging sometimes, but I really put my all into every wedding. I have met so many people, and have been there for their big moments. The time I work with a couple, I really get to know them. Trust is important. Then sometimes, people you admire, that already know you contact you and ask you to take care of their special day! That was this wedding!
My creative journey in the wedding industry started with photography. I was blessed to meet so many wonderful people who taught me, encouraged me, and helped me grow into where I am today. Emily + Thomas were two of those people! They are the most genuinely kind and positive people I have ever met! They are not fake, but rather down to earth and real! When Emily asked me to design her wedding, the first thing I felt was excitement, and then if I'm honest, a little nervous! When I asked Emily what sort of personal touches they would like to incorporate into their wedding, she mentioned she would really like to have themed tables, but wasn't too sure if that was possible while still having a cohesive design. I was excited, and loved the idea! The table themes were Pets, Bear and Bull, Travel and Photography. We stuck to a simple color plate of gold, peach and blue. Vintage items like a adding machine, vintage typewriters, and globes were used. To mark each table we used gold foil prints, and KMN Calligraphy did an amazing job putting together a table chart on one of our large gold mirrors. The wedding day was rainy. Really rainy! One of those rainy days that alternate from a hard down pour, to a constant sprinkle. The bride and groom did not skip a beat and just totally went with the flow with a smile on their face! It was so refreshing! Not the rain, but seeing a couple just treasure their special moment, and make the most of it! Seeing Emily choke up a little when she thanked me.......more than priceless!!
