Girls Weekend EA Getaway Rosa + Blooms Orlando Florida

I’ve always felt fortunate to do what I do. My creative journey started many years ago as a photographer. I will never forget the kindness, and support I experienced as I developed relationships with other creatives in the industry. People who did what I did, but shared their time and talent encouraging and supporting one another. Since that day I have been committed to do the same. Those same individuals helped me launch my journey as Ever After Vintage Weddings. I am thankful everyday for it, because if it wasn’t for their kindness, my experience could have been MUCH different.
This summer was our 4th annual EA Getaway. Honestly as I sit here trying to figure out how to put the weekend into words, it just seems almost impossible. We sat around a room discussing why we all love to come every year, and how we would love to see more networking events of this nature. Relaxed, intimate and uplifting. It couldn’t have made my heart any happier! For the past 4 years every summer we spend a weekend together relaxing, talking and learning. This year Marigold Flower Co. taught a floral design class, Pure Virgo and The Straw That Broke My Back taught classes on aromatherapy scrubs, inhalers + rollers.
Upon arrival the girls were greeted with welcome baskets with treats from some of my favorite companies including custom design cookies made by From Aubrey’s Oven and our customary gourmet lollipops from Leccare. Which is an annual tradition. Also included where notebooks and rose gold pens for taking notes, herb seed bombs, a macrame plant holder and more. Then it was off to City Walk for lunch and drinks!
The evening started off with a Rosa Botanical Bar set up by Pure Virgo that included custom cocktails including her homemade Glycerites. Not to mention also a display of gourmet cheeses and charcuterie. Once of my favorites were the Fior d'Arancio Blue Cheese with Orange and the Ewephoria. Another favorite was the sugar free candied butter pecans.
After introductions we jumped into the sugar scrub class followed by a group discussion the rest of the evening. The next morning we started bright and early with floral classes with Marigold Floral Co. For lunch we served a Afternoon tea complete with different low carb and gluten free food options. For tea we set up a complete create your own tea bar with any and every option you would ever like along with tag bags for sampling recipes and rose gold tin to fill once the girls found a favorite mix. Then of course no tea is complete without scones! There were both regular and keto scones with mock devonshire cream offered. One fun thing I loved was we used the floral arrangements the girls created as centerpieces for our table settings for the afternoon tea.
The weekend was amazing, and also included dinner out, late night chats at the hot tub, and late night (or rather early morning since we went to bed at 3am!) talks and games. And more food! It was a refreshing time, and so great getting to know one another! I am so thankful for Jaclyn + Catherine from Marigold, Alex from Pure Virgo and Jenn from The Straw that Broke my Back, my friend Jeanne who helped me so so very much and Shelby with Shelby Glynn Photography that took these amazing photos.
It was a blast, and I can’t wait until April when we go on our EA Cruise Away!!!!
