Sit back with your sweet cup of tea and relax, because this is going to be a long one! While it's hard to pick my MOST favorite vintage thing, over the last 10 years I have found myself very inspired by vintage satin! I know! That sounds silly! I love it though. The sheen and feel of vintage satin is nothing like the super glossy and rigid ribbon you might find at the craft stores now days. Over the years I have collected vintage satin ribbon, and have found myself drawn to vintage satin things. One of them being vintage prize ribbons. Another favorite of mine is vintage silver. Naturally I love the character of vintage trophies. Fast forward, years later, and here I am with a collection of vintage prize ribbons, and vintage trophies. I ask myself "but WHY?!" I started to dream of a southern Derby inspired wedding. I gathered inspiring ideas that I thought I could revisit someday. Then one day over lunch Ailyn and I started to chat about how cool it would be to see it all come together. So we went for it! Our team of vendors was AMAZING! Everything just fell into place. The Rolls Royce was PERFECT, and I was even able to use an old vintage carousal horse I had. I turned her into a card holder! The floppy hat favors for the ladies were adorable, and Rocking H Ranch was the perfect southern style we were looking for in a venue!
